Dr. Hamilton to Give AMA Address

Demonstrating how important spirituality in medicine has become, Dr. Hamilton will be the opening speaker at the American Medical Association 29th Annual Medical Communications Conference. The conference will be held April 1-3 at Santa Ana Pueblo, NM.

Spirituality in Pediatrics Conference

Dr. Hamilton will be presenting, "From Barn to Bedside: Using Horses to Improve Non-verbal Communication in the World of Healthcare" at Texas Children's Hospital October 21-23. For the last seven years, Dr. Hamilton has offered medical students a unique curriculum using groundwork with horses to develop and improve their nonverbal skills. This presentation will offer examples of scenarios and situations where nonverbal signals and body language can have impact in clinical medicine.

Dr. Hamilton Featured Speaker at Writing for Change Conference

Dr. Hamilton was a guest speaker at the Writing for Change Conference held August 16 & 17, 2008 at the Hotel Kabuki in San Francisco. The SFW4C is the first conference devoted to nonfiction books about any kind of change from the personal to the planetary, including the environment, politics, health, social issues, and spirituality. The theme of the conference was “Saving the World One Book at a Time”. New and published writers had the opportunity to learn from authors, editors, and agents, and get feedback on their work.
